ROD Ministries is a non-profit organization serving the prison population that acts as an aide through the power of the Gospel to repair, restore and redirect broken lives in area prisons. ROD walks alongside an offender to encourage him or her to a journey of hope and restoration. Our discipleship program begins during incarceration with extensive hands-on Bible teaching, accountability and direction, which continues after release.
ROD is available for inmates who are committed to change their lives for the better. Our program may be the crucial difference between an inmate returning to old habits upon release and his or her decision to undertake a productive, purposeful life. ROD has partnered with various ministries like H.I.S. Bridgebuilders to enhance the aftercare process and provide critical aftercare services and opportunities like vocational training and targeted job searches. There is nothing more discouraging for our men than to work hard building proper life and job skills only to go on several interviews where they won't hire convicted felons. We work on their behalf to make sure the interviews they attend are willing to provide a second chance. We provide all we can to help our men become self-sufficient and fully contributing members of the community.

This occupation allowed her to help others. As the Director of Administration for ROD Ministries not only does she get the opportunity to show her experience in organization, and clerical skills, but she can continue to help others get back on their feet from whatever past they came from. ROD is blessed to have her on our team.
Minister Bonnie-George Tedder IV Director of Aftercare Services
In fall of 2007, Bonnie-George Tedder began with ROD, as a client graduate and in 2014 became employed as the Director of Aftercare Services. Minister Ted is a graduate of Killen High School as well as Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. He became a certified teacher and taught grade school for seven years. Bonnie-George Tedder met his teacher and Pastor, Dr. Jeffery Parker, while imprisoned for 5 years for aggrivated assault with a deadly weapen. A choice that would change his life forever, but ultimately leading to God's divine plan for him. Under the leadership of Pastor Parker, he has become a licensed minister of the gospel.
It is Minister Ted's joy to walk alongside and encourage men who seek to live out a redeemed lifestyle.
